Corral Canyon Park and Malibu Seafood
Are you a fan of fresh air? Scenic ocean views? Fresh seafood?
If you didn’t say yes to all three of these questions, I wonder, actually worry, about you.
One day, my in-laws suggested we drive out to the P.C.H or Pacific Coast Highway to introduce us to a seafood place by the Pacific Ocean. I don’t know about you, but I could not say no to this request!
Malibu Seafood has lots of outdoor patio seating. Dogs are not allowed in these areas. Luckily, my husband saw a dog-friendly section with picnic tables. Surprisingly, many people brought their pooches that day.
There were a couple of dozen people in line waiting to order. Yes, we were more than willing to wait for delicious seafood!
Once you receive your menu selections, you carry them out to your table to enjoy. We ordered the Crab & Shrimp Salad, 2 Piece Fish and Fries, Mussels, Clams, Fish Burger, Clam Chowder, Pacific Red Snapper with a side of hot tea. We had zero leftovers and plenty of smiles.
Our little furball enjoyed crunchy, crisp lettuce from our fresh salad. Then he paid a visit to his new friends sitting at nearby picnic tables.
I highly recommend a visit to Malibu Seafood! It’s a win for you and your furry friends!
As we cleaned up our area, we noticed a stream of people coming into the parking lot. They were coming from the opposite direction of the P.C.H. I was curious, so I walked down the pathway. It led to a beautiful area with a creek. It turns out this was the Corral Canyon Park Trail.
The Corral Canyon Park Trail is a 2.5-mile scenic loop just beyond Malibu Seafood. The walk isn’t a steep one and dogs are allowed! Not only do you get to see views of the Pacific Ocean, but its slight inclines can also give you a decent workout.
I noticed how the fires had affected this trail. You can see from the photo that fires once engulfed the area. The vegetation since then has started to grow back.
Even in the aftermath of the fires, the trail was enchanting in its natural state of beauty.
Whether you enjoy Malibu Seafood before your walk or after it, these two activities combined make it an unforgettable morning or afternoon of your choice! Enjoy!
