The 2019 NBA Playoffs Begin!

Where were you when the NBA playoffs began on Saturday, April 13th, 2019?  We were in the process of moving our lives back to Southern California. The craziness of relocating made it hard to watch all the remaining regular season games. Orlando, Miami, and Detroit were competing for the final playoff spot in the East. Meanwhile, the playoff teams in the West were determined.

The time had come for the top eight teams in the West and the top eight teams in the East to battle. Yes, the odds were in the favor of the higher ranked teams and yes, they were better teams who proved their superiority during the regular season.  However, the Clippers, Spurs, and Nets all showed glimpses of brewing potential. Who do you see moving to Round Two?

Will the Raptors’ playoff curse continue?  Who will exit Round One for the second year in a row, the Thunder or Blazers?  Can the Celtics return to the Eastern Conference Final or is it the year of the Bucks?  Will the Warriors fall or be crowned NBA champions again? 

There are storylines and unpredictable outcomes that will surprise you and me.  My mother-in-law says the playoffs is where real basketball happens.  Hold onto your seat! The NBA playoffs finally begin!
